Resilience

Resilience.

A lot of people think that resilience is what allows you to bounce back when something difficult happens. Others describe it as a set of skills that a person might have or learn, while still others speak to resilience as something more innate; something which we are all born with but might be repressed as we live through difficulty.

At ReThink Resilience, we posit that resilience is developed in our everyday lives. It is the result of the convergence of our skills (social, emotional, cognitive, practical), experiences (both good and bad), beliefs or values, and our relationships. Resilience is built in small, everyday actions.
